Installed a new window regulator, and using the buttons it goes up, but not down. I tested it for it to go up and now the thing on the window regulator that connects to the window is too high up. How do you bring it down? All other windows work!

Is it getting current to the motor? Sounds like it isn't. You can jumper it directly. The switch just reverses the + and -
Yea it works going up. Just not down. I tried to use a door lock button switch on it and still the same. The switches on the driver door for the passenger window has the same effect (not going down).
I will try the battery directly to the regulator and see if it goes up and down. I assume if it does go down then there may be a bad wire leading to the regulator somewhere????
I think it would be a problem with the switch. There are only two wires and the switch reverses the polarity in the two wires
I tried it with a switch from the door lock and the switch on the driver's side and still the same thing (doesn't go down when pressing down). Is there a way to test the switch???
