New to the forum, been lurking for a while. Figured I better get off my *ss and post an intro. My wife and I have 5 Jeeps and 3 sons. We have made multiple attempts at being empty nesters but they always come back to roost. My latest XJ was purchased because my youngest son borrowed my '88 and I figured I'd never see it again and I found a 96 with 150k and the Rough Country 4.5 long arm installed with GoodYear all terrain 31s on it. $2100 and a little time fine tuning things and she's a winner. No rust either, a definite rarity in
Michigan. He brought the '88 back the other day with a fuel leak, the rear view mirror off and the front of the muffler hanging down where it broke loose of the cat and took the Suburban. Something about not wanting to drive his family around in a 10 mpg death trap any longer. His Saturn is down and he's waiting on his tax return to buy an '02 Mercury Villager Estate. He's a hardworking husband and father so I let it go. ;)

:welcome: to xjtalk from Delaware/Maryland!! At least he is a useful son, not just a freeloader or anything when he takes off with the vehicles!! LOL..

Welcome! Kinda sounds like my sister... except she would borrow a car and have 12 wrecks in it. I had to borrow that same car because I had a 1989 Nissan Pulsar that needed a new tranny, a 1987 Chevy pickup that needed a new motor, and a 1980 Trans Am that was in the middle of restoration! That was 10 years ago and I'm proud to say that my wife and I are down to two vehicles that are in great working order!
