Thanks I'm from Ohio . This past week I have replaced my head my oil pressure switch and this weekend or Friday maybe I will replace my oil pump and filter .i was loosing antifreeze which lead us to the cracked head then right before I dropped the jeep off to get fixed I started losing oil pressure and we've tested everything now which means it has to be the oil pump right. My engine doesn't knock or ping so were safe there. Also my engine for the last 6 months has had a reddish nasty paste buildup which is hard to get rid of . Any ideas there?

Could the coolant be getting into the oil and making it less viscous and lowering the oil pressure?

Well maybe before I got the head fixed but not after. It was still happening yesterday and the head was fixed on Saturday.

Oil pressure sending unit? Mine went out slowly, including the day it finally went kaput while I was out wheeling an hour from home. Lot easier to replace it first. 25$ part.

Yeah, check that sending unit first. They are known to go bad.
