looks suspeciously like a spin on the wankel engine. Very cool ideas there. The wankel rotory engine will spin up to 12k rpm with the govenor removed. In 70 I went racing with mazda for two races, we were pronounced illegal before the third race because; while we were under the displacement max., even though we were using three cylinder modules, we produced almost 450 hp with the only real modification being removal of the rpm govenor, and an increase in fuel pressure.

That is pretty cool.. I have always been a fan of engines like the Wankel.. They are a bit hard to work on, especially if you aren't used to working on them... but they produce some amazing numbers for such a small unit...
