Caleb, it might be able to be done, but you need to check the extended length of the shock compared to the extended length of the suspension. The shocks should be at least 1/2" longer so the shock pistons will not be pulled off the end of the rod and ruin it.

Well it's gonna be a 3 inch lift with a spacer to 4 inch and 4 inch leafs in the rear if I can do it. Worst case scenario I can go 3.5 lift

I'm new so I honestly don't know how to check if that will work

OK Here is how yo figure it out. Support the vehicle while you are putting your suspension on, which you would do anyway. When you have one end done, let the axel fall free and measure the distance between the shock mounting points. Then measure the extended length of the shock. You can get this info from the vendor or manufacturer before you buy. The extended length of the shock at the mounting points needs to be a little longer than the distance of the mounting points at full droop. In the front, don't measure with air between the top of the coil and spacer. It needs to be touching to make this measurement.

Well how can I tell before I buy the spacers. I just need to know the drop height of a 4 inch Cherokee lift then find extended length of the shock. It's the superride superlift shocks just so yo know

Call the suspension manufacturer, Superlift and ask them these questions. They should be able to tell you whether this will work because they should have all these statistics on their products.

Hey quick question how could I bastard pack the rear to 4 inches and how well do they hold up

Use the bottom three leaves from a Chevy S10 heavy duty spring and a 1/2X2 1/2X3" plate drilled and bolted with the center bolt. Cheap rear lift.

Just as well as a stock S10. I may have a write up, but not for awhile. We have a member on this forum that wants to come to the shop to do a bastard pack, but he keeps postponing. When he does, I will write it up.

When are upper controls needed. And 4.3xj I talked to superlift and they said 4 inch will work with the shocks:) so 4 inch it is but do I need upper controls and longer brake lines what do I need different from the 2.5 lift to 4 inch

You need a longer rear brake hose for sure. I think the YJ brake hose works. You need to relocate the attachment of the front hoses on the frame or get longer ones.

Adjustable trac bar wouldn't hurt would it. What about drop pitman arm

You won't need a drop pitman arm. You should only use those if you have a dropped track bar mount to go with it.

If I have 4 inches up front i want 4 inch lift leafs in the back right? Because in the 4 inch super lift kit it comes with 2.5 leafs and 4 inch coils
