Here is a chart to help you figure what length your arms need to be at certain heights. Control arms lengths are important for castor and location of axle in the wheel wells. At 3", you will be ok with stock arms, just expect the axle to move back toward the cab a little and some minor bumpsteer.

I have a set of Iron Man, they work fine. 6" lift and every thing flexes just fine.

That is the exact reason we recommended his products.. Cause they are far from that cheap junk that you'll twist, bend or break enjoying your Jeep as it should be enjoyed!!

I was just looking at this yesterday, so it might be helpful to any of you that either have RC drop brackets, or any that were going to be getting them.

This kit is an add on kit—it will not lift your vehicle without additional product. This kit is used to lower the upper and lower control arms. Lowering the arms mounting point reduces control arms angle and substantially improves ride quality and handling. This kit can be used with stock lower control arms and with stock upper control arms at 4.5” of lift. For additional lift longer adjustable control arms are needed. To determine length to adjust arms use chart below.

Lift Height|Lower Control Arm| Upper Control Arm|
4.5"|15.75" - Stock Length|15" - Stock Length|
6"|15.875"|15.125"|
8"|16.25"|15.524"|

ok so im a little confused, I have the adjustable rc upper and lower control arms waiting to be installed on my xj, I have the rc 4.5 inch lift and will be installing the rc control arm drop brackets too. what are the lengths for the upp and lower arms?

The object of drop brackets is to be able to run stock length arms. So you would adjust them to stock length and call it good

Hey guys idk if this is a dumb question should the uppers and lowers be the same length? I see the chart says upper and lowers by why is on decimal and one a fraction?

Not sure what you mean by same length. The decimal equivalents of the fractions are not the same as the lowers.

So at 5 inches the decimal is the same as the fraction... so both upper and lower control arms should be set at 16 5/8

I get what Evan was saying about the control arms being the same length. The image that James posted appears to be missing the measurements for the UCA.

Since I didn't do the work and want to make sure things are in order with the lift on my jeep.
Should i use lengths for 6" or 7" for 6.5" lift or figure the middle of the 6" and 7" for 6.5"?

17.25" for the lowers and 15.5" for the uppers according to what I was told by Rough Country and Rusty's when I went through doing the 6.5" for my 98 XJ..

Thanks. Looks like the lowers are in the middle and uppers are same as 6"

Thanks. Looks like the lowers are in the middle and uppers are same as 6"Worst case scenario, you'll just have to tweak the lengths a tiny bit since it'll be close.
