We had Christmas today (23rd) at my house. Here are 2 of my "jeep" related gifts.
I've got 3 vises but none are in the shop where I work on my Xj, soooo:

This will keep the busted knuckles to a minimum while using the drill press:

I got early xmas presents. Few days ago my mountain bike shifter broke so I ordered $400 worth of parts to upgrade that. Then my computer took a dump. Then my transmission took a dump. So I had to go buy a new computer so I could get on here and find out about fixing transmissions. Oh yeah! hahaha

702XJCruiser I have about 4 spare trannys under my shed i have been robbing parts off of 1 and the others are Renix years so 21 spline. I stockpiled them and a few transfer cases as well. Most were from CL but one was out of a 89 that was a rustbucket we cut up and sold. So my suggestion is to start doing the same thing and buying up ones from CL. I never paid more than $50 for any of them.

As to Christmas presents, we open presents after supper and we eat late, so I have not been surprized yet. I do know I got a box of cigars that I wanted since I was asked what brand and size I liked.

Oooo... details on the detector? I've got a low end White's that's pretty nifty. My first time out afew years back I found a 1944 Walking Liberty 50 cent piece. It was my first find and most people were amazed that I found silver the first time out.

Hey, great GF:thumbsup:

Lol yeah! I can't wait to get it! In the meantime I will be saving for rims/tires. I am using my Christmas money to get a new headliner put in. Should have it back today or tomorrow. Doing mossy oak on the headliner, roof center console and on the sun visors.

That is a nice looking rack... That was one of the ones I was strongly considering picking up once I take care of a few other items on my XJ, so I look forward to hearing a review about it after some use..

I got em from ebay, these have their own lighting so i'm gonna have to wire them in. Looks easy though. Here's the link - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jeep-Cherokee-91-92-93-94-95-96-Halo-Glow-Gauges-/150456479015?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item2307e7ad27

Muddyroy has the same setup. Infact he gave me the chipset model number of the one he had, and I ordered one with the same chipset. I already plan on making a youtube video of the setup once I have it done. (It's currently about 25 degrees in Ohio & the inlaws are in, so I can't go hide in the garage right now).

Well it was a few days after Christmas, but got a set of mounts for my D-Cell LED Mag-lite from my Uncle.. Can't wait to install it, as soon as I figure out where I want it.. Didn't know what mounts I would end up purchasing so hadn't figured a place to put them yet..

This is where I mounted my 3 d Cell mag. It's easy to snag as you're jumping out.

That is actually the same spot I can up with using for mine too.. Only going to be my 2D cell LED Mag for now, but will put it so that I can install 3D cell later once I get the LED version.. I love my LED Mag's as they are brighter, and the batteries last way longer.. the batteries that are in mine right now, have gone through two complete clutch changes in my wife's car, as well as working on my BMW and a few other cars in Germany.. Been in there for over 5 years, which I think is pretty amazing for any flashlight..

I've done it on my 2D cell Mag, I have a 3D and even a 4D (which I just found under the back seat of my XJ when I was looking for place to mount my Mag mounts), which I would like to convert over to LED..
