So I took my jeep threw some mud a couple days ago, and the next morning I cleaned it off, and thoroughly cleaned under my jeep with a hose.

But now it constantly squeaks, whenever I go over a small bump or make a turn my suspension will squeak and its very annoying...

Is there anything I can do to fix the squeaks? I never had them before until I sprayed under my jeep with water.

Thanks!

Do you think it is coming from the front or the back?

All the front bushings on mine squeak but goes away after they get a little mud on em. Are yours stock bushings in the control arms? The stock ones usually dont squeak much.

I am afraid to say : "you should get used to it.... squeaking and noises are not uncommon...."

Wayne... what is the Cardinal joint exactly ?

Ain't that the truth. My Jeep squeeks more than a group of mice having an orgy! The unibody makes it hard to tell exactly where squeeks are coming from since the sound seems to cary through the entire thing. I don't see any lift details (assuming you have one) listed in your profile. I know the Skycrapper stuff on mine has provisions to at least grease the control arms.

First place to check is sway bar bushings. They can squeak easily.

It sounds like its coming from the front and back, and I have a 3 inch rough country lift on it...I was going to grease all the fittings but I still don't think that would solve anything.

And I've been mudding a bunch of times before this, sprayed under my jeep and it never squeaked like it has now...hmmm?

Idk what to do...I wish they made a spray I could use to spray on everything under my jeep to lube it up haha!

Stand outside the Jeep with the engine off and rock it back and forth, then listen.

Or lay under it while someone else rocks it...

I hade the same issue with my 95 ZJ and found it was the front swaybar/frame mount bushings causing all of the racket. I got some Moog bushings from www.rockauto.com for about ten bucks and the noise was gone.

I though XJs came with a self lubing feature, thru the RMS and oil filter adapter!
