So I have a 96' XJ and I need to replace the water pump. I've already got a new one at my house ready to put in, but I was just wondering what the easiest/fastest way to do it was.

I tried searching for a tutorial but I couldn't find anything, if you guys could help that would be great! Thanks!

The water pump is very easy to do. Once you start doing it you will clearly see what needs to be removed. Off hand I can remember removing both fans, belt and power steering pump and bracket. Think that was it.

I think the only way to make this job easier is to buy a new inlet pipe, if the link doesnt work you can find it for $9.99 at Advanced Auto. And replace thermostat and any hoses that look like they may be going bad.

Well that was easy enough...I had the pump out in 30 mins, and back in another 30 mins.

Took me about 1 hr and 10 mins after adding the coolant and everything.

Yeah it was pretty simple...would have taken probably close to 45 mins total but I lost one of the screws for the water pump and took 15 mins to find the damn thing haha
