2. Chevy CUCV
3. Jeep Cherokee

I love the zombie stuff, it's hilarious. If you want to get technical about something that is ludicrous, personally I'd want something big and heavy to keep be away from the hordes. A big block V8, 4x4, and lots of added 1/4 plate steel. Self sealing tires and big, also with protection seeing how bones to fracture and get pointy! :D

Oh and escape hatches above and below. Perhaps a metal skirt that would drop around the vehicle to create a safe zone under the rig. Backup weapons in boxes under neigh! lol

So I would say something like a Ford Excursion, maybe a H1 but heavily modified. Sorry I may be going outside your list.

I would have to go with a full size Bronco with 1/4" armour , 50cal mounted on the roof with a 360* turit that would be remotely controled. I'm so glad I don't believe in zombies. :D

50 cal would be a nice touch, but a think a flame thrower and a large tank of a napalm in the back would be better.

I love the smell of burning zombies in the morning!

I'd take the H-1, add a turbo or supercharger, cowcatcher front bumper, raming rear bumper. bead locks and saftey liners with sealer inside the liners. Add some armor plating and a roof mounted GE mini gat with a few thousand rounds.

You basicly just described a stock miltary HUMVEE...which is what I would use.

that is the one the special forces modified to fit what they do cause the stock HUMVEE just wasnt good enough, subtract the cowcatcher.

Going way outside the box but how about a tracked M715!
Just needs a mini gun mounted somewhere!

Normally I would not get involved in a thread like this, but I have the perfect vehicle. The M3 half track with quad 50s in back. Guns are motorized and operated remotely, completely armored except for the top of the cab, but that can be added. Front roller for breaching low walls and crushing vehicles. Tracks for super traction.

Think BIGGER! This would be my choice for the "zombie" assault.

http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/xj-wheeler/MRAPMineSweeperDoug.jpg

Its the Buffalo MRAP (mine sweeper). Although finding one may be an issue being they cost nearly $1million each. For that you get 450 hp, 65mph top speed, 6 wheel drive, 36,000lbs payload, hydraulic mine sweeper arm (for zombie flinging), 5 inch thick glass, completely bulletproof and mine proof, and seating for 6. Might want to add some more fuel capacity as it only has a 300 mile range with an 85 gal. tank.

Here's a video comparing it to the humvee some of you thought about.

I wasn't too keen on the zombie thing either. Then a game called "Left 4 Dead" came out. Very well done, fun and funny. "ZombieLand" the movie was released which was also funny.

I think this has made zombies more cool, and if you think of it few natural (unnatural) disasters would be as bad as a zombie apocalypse. So they can be great training and disaster preparations.

Since "Left 4 Dead 2" has come out I'm hooked. Zombies are cool.

heh heh .... its an ack ack M3 ... only good for ... flying zombies :p .. :D

Do like the minesweeper above ... but an old flail tank minesweeper with chains would make interesting viewing, wading through the mindless ones ... :D

Zombies ... ...sheesh you fellas :p ...

.... just learn to keep em contained .... we keep all ours in "parliament houses" ... :smiley-laughing021:

But I would have to go with an old FSJ Cherokee with a 401 as personal preference.

Why limit yourself to one vehicle. If there is a zombie apoalypse, where do you think the zombies will come from? It'll be the people from your town. I bet most of them own vehicles before they become zombified. I say grab whatever is sitting around, do some zombie demo derby, then grab another one when that vehicle is toast. Just get a good weapon or two for those times when you've gotta transfer from one to the other

That's a good point. Zombie's are going to be concentrated where people are concentrated. Go to the less populated areas and you have less zombie's to worry about.

I'd have to go with a Fedex Cessna Caravan. You can think of it as a personal sized C130. Short take off and landing capable, rough field capable, powerful reliable turboprop engine, heavy payload capacity, long range, all weather capable. You should be able to find one at any local municipal airport in a town of 150k or more. Parts should be readily available.

Well maintained, readily available fleet aircraft with additional cargo space in bottom mounted cargo pod.

Modern avionics with up to date directories to guide you to anywhere.

Generous interior cargo bay with large side entry.

Every mission it flies is a virtual bug out. A proven workhorse.

I see I posted prematurely.:D I didn't look at the whole thread. Y'all posted some serious gear.

I'd take the Cessna Caravan, too!!! I'd take the pod off the bottom, though. I'd LOVE to get my hands on a Caravan, or a TBM 700.

I've never flown anything bigger than a Cessna 182, but I'd do it in a heartbeat if I had the money to upgrade my pilot's license!!!!!
