Those are pretty nice, and I've sorta wanted an Isuzu like that. IIRC the Isuzu auto's use something similar to an AW4, and you can use the bell housing to mount an AW4 to a GM 60 degree V6.

There may be potential for a 4x4 swap using XJ donor parts.

Troy. When you get that XJ, you can steal those rear springs off the Rodeo and make a bastard pack for a 6" rear lift. She won't mind at all. :D

well when i make the passport....same thing as rodeo just bdifferent badges... a straight axle front and soa rear i will put all my factory 4x4 stuff under hers and make it a 4x4. but i will still look for another zj/xj to build me a wicked crawler.

oh... the tranny is a gm style in my passport. and when the motor goes...if it ever does... i want to put a 5.3 ls in it that will be bad.....even though i don't like gm.

I never was a Chevy guy either, but nowadays, the others are just too hard to work with. Those Ford trannys are so touchy even the transmissions shops don't like to mess with them.

The only benefit to GM that I see is so much of their stuff swaps around.

There is more. It is easy to modify them and you can get parts anywhere for them. I used to be a Ford and Dodge guy. But Dodges nowadays are expensive to mess with and as I said, Fords are a nightmare when you get to their trannys.

Hey nothing wrong with building up a non Jeep... I'll still be very interested to see the progress on it either way!!

Interesting to see the Isuzu and Honda badgeswapping ...

Down here they sold as GM-Holden and were still called a Rodeo ... but we never got that wagon version or the 2dr.

It looks like the early toyota forerunners and fords, mazda based, raider series .... all pickups and given some bling and extended roof.

Good concept imho ....
