I like this headlight mod. The problem is that I only have the pic, no sight or write up. Any one have any idea what light they used. Yes I looked at letsgojeepin.com and there is no write up.

I have the odd feeling that is a shops custom build.. It is pretty nice deal though.. Definitely different look for the front end..

Seen pics of that somewhere before ... and liked it.

The XJ in the background is an AEV vehicle and the pic taken at the 2000 Chicago Motor Show apparently ..... so maybe its an AEV jobby or a Mopar play.

Looks like a standard, 7"ish headlight and new dress trim with some common little round indicators.

Hella and other mobs have all the electric bits or similiar .... just needs some fancy fibreglass work to get it all in there and looking nice.

This isn't a real easy mod. You need to put in a 7" headlight bucket, and provision to adjust the headlights which means a removable front cover. This would be a lot of work.

That's Jeeps Casablanca Concept, you might be able to find more now knowing what it is.

that type of round head light conversion is going to be some serious fabrication. A mounting bucket with the adjusters could be scavanged from any round headlight vehicle, Get everything you can fron the donor vehicle. Then you will need to fab the front plate and mounts for that bucket. the front plate will need rounded over edges and radiused holes just for good looks those can be done with hammers and dollies or better yet on a T bar set up in a vise and hammer gently away. Or, if you can find those parts for that specific vehicle, just buy through a dealer and install.

Personally, I'd just do a 2500 grill mod/upgrade.

yeah, that would be another way to do it, hopefully the model would tag along for pics of the modification.

Yeah I like the look of the 2500 model.. and would love to do that.. until I tear something up from the front end on the trails.. and have to pay to replace those parts again.. But it would all be worth it, if the model came with it for pics whenever I feel like taking pics..

If I had spare change sitting around and getting ready to paint, I would do it. How do you suppose that front end would look with tube fenders?

I think it would look good with the tube fenders!! At least good enough, that if you didn't like it.. I'd be more than happy to take the parts including the tube fenders off your hands for disposal!!

We are highjacking this thread. One more only. Tube fenders were a given already with full width axles. But the grill is nice. Sigh, one more mod on the list

Thread jack this thread all you want. I can't find anything on the Casablanca anyway. And the 2500 would look pretty sick with tube fenders.

This mod can be done. There are some members on NAXJA that did it. I think they ordered the parts in quantity. It is a nice looking mod and distinctive. You will never see very many here.

You are correct. Some guy on NAXJA did a group buy. A guy I know from WV bought all the parts from one of the guys who did the group buy and then changed his mind.

I've got pictures of his pre 97 XJ somewhere with the 2500 front clip on it. I'll try to post them.

I didn't understand that this was hand fabbed by you, very nice job. I'm not a fan of round headlights on a XJ, but nothing wrong with those of you that do like it. Nice job. I like the bumper as well, doe sit have recovery points?
