Well last week I took the XJ out wheeling. Popped the bead after hitting to go pedal too hard in a deep mud hole. So flat towing it home it had VERY bad death wobble. Figured most of it was do to the track bar I broke. Fixed the track bar and the death wobble was still the same. I knew there would be some mud in the tire, but was very surpised when I saw how much. Took the tire off, cleaned out all the mud....no more death wobble. Could barely lift the damn wheel onto the tire machine, it was freaking heavy.

Bead locks in your future Jimbo?

Yes sir I do belive so. That is the second time I have done that. However I may be starting an axle swap soon so I wanna wait on the bead locks for a bit.

Hey Jim. I think the Stauns are the way to go here. I have lost a bead on the inside out in the rocks. Besides, with them you can run flat for a short distance.

I like the way stauns work. And I think one sided bead lock rims are kind of a waste of money. Might end up getting the stauns, but first im gonna try to find some H1 rims and have em re-centered.

The only thing I don't like about them is their weight. Not a good trail rim on a light rig
