New Heavy duty shocks compliments of my job. :)
things are beefy, they take a 3/4 bolt through the shock eyes and the shafts are 3/4 as well
These are 26 inch eye to eye about 12 inch travel for the rear of my xj

I have 12 inch travel coilovers from profender for the front. We are running them exclusively and so far they have been good to us. They work well and are very fairly priced

For me, it is all about valving. The standard Fox 2.0 is valved way too stiff

Did some repair to the hood that was damaged from the front end collision that it was in before i bought it. Also the one ton tie rod showed up and the JKS wj conversion drag link as well. I chose to maintain a factory wj drag link end instead of one ton because i am runnin a 15 inch wheel and space is not a t a premium and it is easier for me to get a replacment part for wj stuff.

Didn't take long for the 30 to be obsolete. Picked up a waggy 44 for cheap. Already started building it. I have 2 weeks off work due to hand surgery but I can still build an axle! I had a heart exchanger fall on my finger at work (lucky me) and this was my second surgery on the point finger rest of the hand is fine. Lol 4
screws and 34 stitches. 50 total

Ouch. I can relate. I installed my 4.3L engine when my hand had been operated on for severed tendons. Had my fingers all pulled back as far as they would go. Had to get the wife to do a couple of things for me lol

yeah i used to post here all the time but when photo bucket got craptastic i kinda lost my motivation considered time is at such a premium working and teaching night school.

build is going well it would have been road worthy this week but my vendor sent me the wrong shocks so I'm stuck until i get those for the front...
trying to upload pics now lol

so since its been a while lets do this chronologically
this happened almost a year ago now. 6000 pound heat exchanger fell from a crane at work and somehow only hit one finger... lucky i guess 4 pins and two surgeries later its useable again.

and this was the remedy. built a tube shock hoop and then built a sheet metal box over it to keep weather out.
also plated inside of unibody and built frame work inside unibody to stiffen it up. new gas tank strap holder is a piece of 1 x3 x 1/4 steel and moved it up about half an inch.

got super tired of having a hot air intake since the stroker likes to run hot so as usual started cutting and made something work. jeep has horrid heat anyway so why not.

ghetto rti ramp made out of what will be my built in boat side sliders. lol purpose was measuring for shocks and checking interference. Also the bumper i built for it that will eventually tie in the hybrid exo.

thanks man.
didn't do much today. teaching nights and welding all day leaves little free time but teaching welding is much better than doing it for the rest of my life... did machine out some weld inserts today to mount up some belly skids tapped with 3/8 holes should be a nice way to mount a flush skid.

its dark and been raining for what seems like a month here. so no better time to go outside and put the new wheel adapters on the rear and bolt the new 35 inch km2s on. sold my tsl sx's because they weren't street friendly at all and the transmission is shot so they were taking the last little bit of life i have in this trans out of it. looking into a rebuilt, reman, and swaps all at the same time no real clue which way i wanna go.

so why not revive a dead thread... my xj build is going well. life set in took on a training role at work and was traveling for service work as well. Things seem to be settling in a little now though. the xjs gotten the start of an exo cage a d300 twin stick ford hp44 front and isuzu dana 44 rear now. still leafs in the rear and custom long arm 3 link front.
