High Dynamic Range

It's pretty new to me. This HDR shot was taken with 9 images with 9 different "F" stops, 1 "F" stop different between shots. Software is then used to merge all the shots together. Basically you have very under exposed shots to over exposed shots.

Is that a special camera and does it take those 9 shots with just a single exposure? Maybe I should Google it. My Google-Fu is getting a tad rusty!!

It a Nikon D300. I think there are some cameras out now that will do HDR internally. The D300 can be programmed to take several pictures and each image will be a different "F" stop. You can pic how different you want each "F" stop to be. I chose 9 images with 1 "F" stop difference between each one. It is called bracketing.
Once the pictures were taken they were put into some software that combines them in a "special" way. I normally just do it first, then understand it later, so this is the limit of my current understanding. rofl
