Hi XJ Wheeler, welcome to the xjtalk forum!

We would love to know more about you and your Jeep. How you found us, etc...

Check out "Announcements" "How to post an image" for help posting images.

Got a Wrangler? Maybe a friend with one? http://www.WranglerTalk.com/

Hey guys, name is Jacob. I just found the site and like how it seems that a portion of the membership are from the Houston area. I live about a hundred miles east. Also I have been a member of Cherokee Forum for a few months and noticed some familiar members on here.

I have had my '92 xj laredo for over seven years now, it was my first vehicle. I bought it stock for $1100. After almost losing it in Hurricane Rita I named it Stormy. It has also had to ride out Hurricanes Ike and Humberto. I love my xj even though it got its fair share of problems. I've done some stuff to it. Some typical, some different. Even though its not a hardcore rig yet, i've got my whole life to get it there.

Anyways, i hope to be a helpful and valued member here too.

:welcome: Funny you mention Rita. It was Katrina and Rita that made me decide to spend the time and money to lift our 1998 Jeep Cherokee. Which turned into a hobby and ultimately into this site! :D

Thanks, and that's just about one of the best reasons i can think of to build up a jeep.

I had to leave mine behind for the evacuation back then, in a storage building. The building collapsed two slots down from mine, but i feel very blessed it only had minor damage. I'm glad i had mine lifted by then, interesting getting out of there.
