I've got a 3 inch RC AAL lift kit. I've added an extra XJ main because my leaf's were sagging.

Are you getting an AAL, new full packs,or a bastard pack?

Im gonna go with full leaf packs. Ive got the rusty's AAL 3" kit now but my main leafs are about to go and its sagging anyways. So nows the time to get full packs...

what front springs do you have? is it a rustys kit? i would say just go for the rustys leaf springs, i think they are like 230, its the shipping that will get ya. I think they were the most expensive out of every company i looked into for a lift for shipping.

It was the Rusty's kit that Ive got in it. Since Ive bought plenty of stuff from them they usually give me a little break on shipping, but its either between the Rusty's springs or Rubicon Express. All my buddies run either of the two up here for rock crawling and stuff but I want to see what other companies everyone has had good luck with so far.

I've got rough country 4.5" spring pack. Add-a-leaf works good for a while but they sag after being used hard.

Yeah, thats why mine went so fast. I kinda wish I got the full leaf packs when I got my lift but as always, money was tight so my poor jeep had to suffer. haha.

Mine were inverted and I only wanted to do the leaf springs once.. so i had to do full packs, even if I didnt have too I probably would have to save time.. I like my Rubicon leafs, havent trail tested them yet though.

Yeah, I have a feeling Im gonna go with the R.E leafs. Ive heard a lot of good feedback about them.

Im also running the 4.5 rough country leafs, with 2" shackles. Seem to ride and flex just fine. And its hard to beat the price, warranty and customer service of RC.

What about going with a Rusty's 4.5" full leaf pack?? Then you pick up a full leaf pack setup, not to mention gaining a little lift at the me time.. I have loved my 4.5 leafs since I installed them..

Jeep bastard pack with Teraflex 1.5 inch shackels. Gives me about 3-4 inch lift

I was thinking about that but with my 1.5" shackles I'd like to stay around 3.5" or 4" for now anyways.

For the moment I am running the old bastard pack with the leaves from an
S10 blazer w/4x4 I used the shackles as well along with my main leaf and the three below it and all 4 of the S10 leaves I wound up at 5.75" of lift ride is a little stiff with no tools or cargo in the back but overall not bad.

I may be going up a couple of inches on mines since I have finally installed the SYE. The back is easy the front will need new coils. Well I could do a spacer, but I'd rather do it with coils. Dunno, it's all fun though. Thinking about it and doing it.

Hi,

I'm running a RE 3.5" super flex for the last 2 years.
pretty firm, bushings were ruined after less than a year (and less than 8K km without too much time off road...)
I replaced the bushing few months ago, since then, it seems to be fine.

I run 2" coils with 2" spacers and its OK for me. But I am a cheap skate and the spacers cost $25 each.

Any particular reason they went so quick? does the super flex use different bushings than the super ride? mine were just the plain ole' rubber bushings in my leafs, but i just put them in so hoping im not going to have to tear them apart next year.

I threw an extra XJ main (with the eyes cut off) in mine and it helped greatly.

Did I already answer? Rough Country 4.5" leaf springs!

Since I want to go higher than my puny 1.5" lift I'll be doing one of two choices. A full spring pack from RC or Clayton or the other option, go to superior spring company and have them custom up a set for my needs.

Running the R.E. 4.5" super flex kit with full leaf packs which is 3.5" springs and 1.25" shackles. End result, they seem pretty stiff. I can jump up and down on my trailer hitch with only 1-2" of travel.

I was running the 3.5 rough country but....... they began to sag pretty badly after about 6 months so i pulled them and have built a bastard pack using XJ, MJ, Ford Ranger and some S10 springs and so far so good. I like rough country but I wont be buying there springs again, I feel that if your hard on your truck you either need to buy quality, expensive leafs, or build your own. next year I will be trying to get some Deaver springs for like 700 bucks

After doing a little more research I think Im gonna go with the 4.5" Clayton leaf packs. There a little more expensive but they are great quality, plus I dont have to wait for shipping! :) There about an hour away from me:thumbsup:
