hey how hard was your 4.3? you are the first person i have actually seen do it. i wanted to do a Lsx but a 4.3 might be a little easier?

It all depends on smog laws and how many bells and whistles, like AC and such you want. But there is essentially no difference between the conversions. I choose the 4.3 because of fuel economy and intake considerations. All the V8 conversions I have seen in XJs just have a cone filter on the intake sucking warm air and not enough fording or mudding ability for my tastes. I have had plenty of water up under the hood which could hydro lock a V8. But that would not be an issue in purist rock crawling. Eventually I will take the 4.3 beyond 300 HP anyway and have the best of both. But one thing you will need for either. A vented hood and bigger radiator. I would suggest taking out the front cross member and using something like a ZJ radiator.

Also, as you can see, it gets busy under the hood if you want like a factory job. Plus, I keep improving it and tweeking it to be better.

i wish i could have more detours products lol. but with a kid on the way im kinda on a budget on how much i can spend. I really want 33s but cant get those for a few years lol. Gotta make my tires work. And i would like to do a lsx or the 3.8 Supercharged into my jeep. but like i said BUDGET BUDGET lol.
