This is gonna start messing with the tire distributors and dealers now that prices are going up again. This is the most recent increase since about may or june. But before that it was every couple weeks so hopefully they dont go crazy with them this time, or else I might be looking for a new job!:bang:

That does suck. But hell they could drop the prices 9% and I still cant afford new tires.

Prices already went up once this year. I've spent over $2500 on tires already this year. It's getting scary to go to the tire store.

In April I paid 172 shipped per tire for my 33 Goodyear wrangler duratracs and Less than 1000 for all four and new 15x8 cager v5s ..... Now I would hate to see the prices. I will be going to 35 s in a year of so but might not buy new if they keep going up

Just like everything else... except for gas prices. Lately they have dropped, $3.07 here today. Knock on wood they still keep going a bit, doubt for very long. They will make up a reason to jack the prices back up.

The tires I have on my Jeep were $50 ea when I got them a couple years ago. They are at $78 ea now.. maybe more if they raise the prices again as mentioned.

I'm likely going to keep looking for used tires... No probs so far and I start looking for them before I REALLY need them so that I will have enough time to get a good deal on GOOD used tires

I usually do too, but the last time I needed tires on the Jeep I couldn't find anyone selling any in the size I needed. They were all either really big tires or for 18-20" rims...:out:

My with my luck... I always find the great deals when I don't have the money, but when I have money to spend there isn't squat.

Most of the tire companies will raise their prices, not all will but a good majority of the major tire manufacturers will. And just an f.y.i, nittos are super expensive if your gonna go with new ones. For stuff like that I would keep looking online to see what you can get for a price. And out in Mass where I am we've got literally hundreds of people looking for used tires that we cant find. Its rediculous. Some people will pay close to half or maybe even more for used tires than a new set would cost.

follow up to my original post. I ordered 4 BF Goodrich All-Terrain TA"s in 235/75R-15 at $163.00 last week. This week they are $183.00 each. In your area, the price may be different.

I heard Michelin's are going to be on sale at most major tire shops the end of this month. I also know alot of the General dealers around here are doing a buy 3, get one free deal.

I just got a set of 235/75R15 Goodyear Wrangler Radials for $500 this last weekend. I wish I had the coin to get something else.
