I may be "aquiring" this 4x4 chassis this week. I thinkl it's a Chevy short w/b truck. Thoughts??

Would make a good little mud buggy. If you build a tube buggy out of it, it wont flex at all with those stiff leafs and being so light. But would make a good mud buggy.

I don't think it is GM... at first I thought it was an 81-87 Chevy truck or 91 if Blazer based on what appears to be the front marker light under the tire there. However the dash and gas tank are not designs I am familiar with...having owned an 82 Chevy truck and an 87 GMC truck. Also it does not look long enough to be a shortbed... more along the lines of a Blazer/Jimmy.

What would I do with it? Put a truck cab on it and a flat bed.

Fairly sure the body under the frame didn't come off the frame. And those are for sure chevy axles on the frame. It is a bit short so could be a full size blazer frame.

It is a Blazer frame. I recognize the front shock mounts and the right hand drop and bolt pattern and too short for a pickup. So you could put a 350 in it and some bent tubing for a buggy. Too bad it isn't Ford, you could transplant those axles under the XJ

Well I own it now, whatever it turns out to be! Yes I think it's a blazer chassis. Had a Datsun PU cab on it, been used as a mud buggy already. The rear axle is locked, maybe welded not sure yet. It has a transfer case on it and all drive shafts. 3- 12.5x35x15 AT's and 4- 10 or 12 inch wide wheels. Looks like it will be a fun build. Maybe ya'll will let me keep it on here even though it's not an XJ.

Yep, that to, 4 or 6, I haven't measured it yet. This thing was on it's way to the scrap metal yard. Lucky I got good friends!

I think this project is going to move a little faster than I thought!!! I'm pretty sure I have the motor, tranny, cooling system, steering and brakes all covered now. I need a 36x12.5x15 tire for a roller so I can tow this thing around to work on it.

This looks like it will be an interesting build. I know it sucks having to slow down to take pictures but...
