So, these two jeepers were wheeling deeeeeep in the woods where neither of them had ever been before when the guy in the lead suddenly stopped and jumped out. He motioned to the guy following, "Get up here. You gotta see this hole!"
It was a huge hole, about 6 feet in diameter. It was so deep, they couldn't even see the bottom, just a deep, dark, seemingly bottomless hole. They both threw rocks into it and listened for the rocks to hit bottom, but never did. They looked around and one of them found a cinder block and threw it in. They listened, but nothing.
One of the men found the end of an old railroad tie sticking out of the brush. "Here. Help me roll this railroad tie over there. We'll surely hear this thing hit bottom!"
So they struggled and pushed and finally got the old railroad tie to the edge and kicked it into the hole. As they were standing there listening, a little white goat came running out of the woods, ran right between the two jeepers, and jumped into the hole.
"What the hell?!?" one said to the other. "What do you suppose that was all about?!?"
They were standing there scratching their heads and trying to figure out what they had just seen when a third man came walking up the trail. He was an older grizzled looking man.
"Excuse me, gentlemen. I'm looking for my goat. He's a small white goat. Would either one of you seen him by chance?"
The two jeepers looked at one another and then one said, "Yeah. We saw your goat! He just came running full blast out of the brush and jumped into that hole right there."
The older man looked puzzled, scratched his head and said, "Boy, I can't imagine for the life of me why he'd do that. I can't even imagine how he could've done that. I had him tied to a gigantic railroad tie."
