Good looking jeep and truck. And hey the engine mods are what counts anyways on that

thanks for the compliments, they are both a blast to drive in there own way, the lightning is just a kick in the a$$, handles like no other truck you have ever driven but is rather traction limited under 25-30mph lol.

ya, those are fun trucks also, i was offered a 02 for my 1st gen the other day but i just like the gen1's better, not as fast stock for stock as the gen2's but much harder to find.

Yeah i would aslo prefer a first gen. I trust the 351 alot more than a mod motor.

Yes, you are about an hour and a half away. There is another option, meet in Red Bluff and go up Hogsback to the Ishi road and Grapevine Jeep trails.

not for up here, i just moved back to the area after a 16+yr hiatus lol, i can show you all kinds of good spots around the Yosemite area though lol, the only spot i have been too so far is the Shasta ohv park and i haven't really explored it to much either.

I have a DeLorme NorCal topog maps. It covers all the land and shows trails and roads. Detail is hard to find due to scale sometimes. What I do is scan an area and then blow it up on screen. Tremendously helpful and very useful. Then I compare those areas to areal photos from Google Earth. You would be surprised what you can find. Gates can be a problem, but my Android has an app on it that shows the gates if you zoom in enough.
