**Disclaimer; xjtalk really is a friendly site but being the people we are, we do the good natured ribbing of each other. Currently it's the green jeeps against pretty much all others but specifically against my undisputed beautiful RED Jeep. So sit back and enjoy, oh and feel free to jump into the fray! :D

There has been lots of discussion about the various colors that the Jeep Cherokees come in, or have been painted to.

What does your color say?

Green

It's the color of nature, trees, life!

In emotions green is referred to as jealousy, the green eyed monster!

Green is beautiful, but it is very very common. It's a great color if you don't want to stand out! Great if you want to blend in to the surroundings.

There is nothing wrong with green it's just not very special. :(

RED

Red is the color of a sunset, fire, explosions. Red is powerful! Red isn't seen everywhere so when you see it you know it is something special.

Red is the color of passion, anger, aggression, blood. Red is the color of the rose that you give to a beautiful girl. Red inspires, intimidates and evokes excitement and even fear into those that see it. Red is the color of lipstick.

Yes red certainly isn't the color if you don't want to be noticed. In fact red has been even been attacked. Not too long ago respectable women wouldn't wear make up and would speak ill of the women that did. Red was too flashy, they said these women were cheap! Yes red makes people feel threatened for those that are too timid to adorn themselves in it, to be associated with red. Again it's easier to blend in and talk trash about red to their other green commoners.

There are many beautiful colored Jeeps, and lets be honest, it's still a Jeep!

Blue very nice, but as common as the sky.
Purple, just a red wanna be!
Yellow also a primary color. It's bright and nice, but lets face it. It isn't red.
Brown.... {I'll skip this one} :mock:
White this isn't even a color. It's the absents of all colors.
Black well gee, this is what existed before anything existed, also isn't a color.
Orange, also associated with green as in the leaves that surround it warmed by the yellow sun.

So as you can see red is the most special color of all. You can like any color of course, but you cannot deny the value, important and reverence that societies for thousands of years has placed on the color red.

So the next time you make fun of red remember that it is very obvious to everyone that in the kingdom of colors red is the king, the warrior, the one that stands out and above all the other colors. After all it is the most colorful of the three primary colors, red, yellow, and blue. All other colors are a combination of these three, including green.

It's as American as Cherry pie!
It's the color of freedom, as in the blood spilled by many American soldiers.

Red is the life force the energy that moves people, and sustains their existence!

So technically green is superior to red...

Then there is no photosynthesis without sun... therefore yellow is stronger than green and stronger than red....

Actually no. Color is a reflection of light, and light contains all the colors that can be reflected.

Ah, but that green is just the reflected part of the spectrum that is not used, not like the red and BLUE light that actually makes photosynthesis possible.

Sure your jeep is beautiful tony. but who wants that in a jeep. Jeeps are supposed to manly, not beautiful. And red is pretty common too. I don't know of a single girl that doesnt want a bright red shiney car (ie. the same color as your jeep) :D :D

Hmmmm Red is the color the cops see the most of, and pull over more frequently. Yep that's getting noticed.

This is just for information for all.

In the native american (First People) symbolism Yellow is the color of the north, Green is the color of the west, Red is the color of the south and Black is the color of the east, White is the color of the center. All colors are needed to be whole. There is also a saying " Until the four colors of man sit at the council fire and talk as equal men, no peace will be found on mother earth among them".

That being said, The first Jeeps were green. The second color of jeeps was desert tan.

Ah yes, England didn't want her soldiers blood to be noticed by the still standing troops and cause panic followed by retreat. However, it can be argued that the white settlers did not initially kick ass, in fact the first year of that revolution was almost the last. The prussians, who were English paid mercenaries, wore Green tunics, not the red of the british. The English settlers (now they call themselves americans) wore what they had on when they enlisted, But the officers wore Blue tunics and white trousers. The Brown Bess was the weapon of the English and it was the captured ones that were very coveted by the "american army". One other interesting factoid. The Americans were appaled at Hitlers policy of genocide against the jews, but they themselves were far more guilty of genocide prior to WWII or WWI.
