bung in gas tank

quick question,, has the gas tank got a bung in it...i have a bash plate on so cant see,, i want to drain the gas....cheers yall/////

I dout that it has a drain bung ( haven't seen one since my datsun 260Z) that bash plate just protects the tank, and with the price of gas, detroit is gonna make it hard to get it out with out driving , dropping the tank, or putting a hole in it that you'll have to fix later. You could, (if it's got half a tank or more) use a floor jack to support the tank and unbolt the support straps and fuel inlet at the body, slowly lower it and siphon the rest of the gas out. hope this helps good luck.

No drain plugs. You can however get a cheap plastic syphon pump and transfer most of it out that way. Use a glass or clear plastic jug and you can separate any water out too.

a bung in the gas tank! :D now there's a grand idea for if/when I build a new tank for da lizard.
