I've been looking at wheels and I've decided that I rather prefer my wheels to anything that would cost less than what I actually have in the Jeep.:smiley-laughing021:

These are my stock wheels.

I really like these over anything I've seen so far.

What's the largest tire I can run on them? I was planning on 31 X 10.50's, but that was on a three inch lift. I've since decided to go four or 4.5 on the lift, so I may go up to 32's. I really didn't want anything wider than 10.50's, though. I may do 32 X 11.50's, but it all depends on what it would look like after I get the lift done. These wheels look awful narrow to me, so I'm not too sure if they'd work, and I haven't even thought of the back spacing with the stock wheels yet.

One thing I know, the 215/75R15's are gonna look hilarious under a 4.5" lifted Cherokee!!:smiley-taunt013::smiley-laughing021::smiley-laughing021:

You can fit the 32's on there. A couple people make 33x10.50's also. But with the stock wheels you will probably rub the lower control arms, unless you use spacers.

31s will rub stock control arms on stock wheels. But I never thought that was anything to write home about. BFG makes a 33X10.50 which is a nice tire on the street and trail.

Your main issue WONT be the control arms however the leaf springs in the rear with those specific wheels the offset doesnt work well with oversize tires... only way to check it really is mount one on there and and see, I had canyon wheels which are a grand cherokee wheel that is wider and sits furter out and when I tried to put a 33x12.50 on there... they were ALL up on the leaf spring.

Well I have 33x12.50 BFG Mud terrains on my stock wheels. yeah the wheels are pretty narrow, tire are recommended to be mounted on 8 inch wide rims or more. I have made a quarter inch space between my rear leafs and the tire side wall... When washing last time i noticed that at some points(likely during wheeling and with the rear axle flexing) that it does rub the leafs because i saw the marks on the leafs... Other than that i havent had any other issues...
For reference, I have the 4.5 rough country lift. You will rub on the front fenders both front side and back side of it. trimming is really necessary but i havent yet. It also rubs on the coil spring mount in the top of the fender.

That is why I would not recommend going any wider than 1.50 on the stock rims. I have run that size for years without issue, except rubbing on the lower link when the steering is locked.

OK, thanks guys. I guess if I don't find some wheels I like better, I'll be ordering some spacers.

I bet you know this already, but many people get the Cragar Soft 8 8" steel wheels. I thought about it since they are $50 (or were) each. I found the ones I have now for $100 each so I thought the nice pretty alloy wheels were worth the extra cash, plus I went with 10x15 instead of the 8x15.

Looks like they have these in 10x15 as well, but they are $75
The 8x15 are $57

Many people like these because they'll bend, not break, and can be pounded back into shape. Well that's what I've read. ;)

I have those. Got em on sale at Jegs. Shipped for less than $200 for all 4.

Yeah, I'm familiar with them, I just like the look of my stock wheels better. Also, there are just so many other guys running the Soft 8's. I may do that, though, especially if I found a good deal on them. They are good looking wheels, I just like mine a little better is all.

I'd like to find some brushed aluminum wheels, but so far I haven't found any I really like, so I'll probably keep my stock wheels with spacers, or get some soft 8's or D-windows. I may even paint my stock wheels or something. Heck I don't know just yet.

Either way, I think I'll just put up my stock wheels in the barn and keep them.

Well to be honest I dont like my soft 8's for that same reason. Everybody has em.

I wasn't super happy with these, but they were $100 (and still are!)

I love those trail ready beadlock wheels.. Had a friend a few years back that got a set of those for his 01' 2500 Ram.. I think I am going to look into the D-window rims from one of our vendors (http://www.xjtalk.com/showthread.php?t=7866) on here.. Not too bad of a deal price wise, and free shipping..
