I've been having a problem with a leaky rear seal (at least I think that's where it's coming from) since I replaced my first chain.

Today I found this...

After putting some red RTV and some Dex/Merc III on the seal I installed it. I got lucky and saw that this new seal did the same thing the old one did, only I didn't catch it. There was a small part that wasn't flipped the right way.

I gently moved it with a screwdriver blade and it popped into position.

I couldn't see all around the seal so I used my camera (phone) and checked it.

I'm going to get a few cans of brake cleaner and clean under the body real good so I can tell if there is new spray coming from the transfer case.
