Ring and pinion setup

Hey there folks just wondering if anyone here has done their own ring and pinion setup. I just got my 4.88's and the ARB for the rear and I am contemplating doing it myself. I am pretty skilled and do have all the tools with exception of the dial to set the backlash.
Any hints, tips, warnings? Should I just have a shop do it?:popcorn:

If it were me I'd find a buddy that has done it before to help and teach you.

I've been told if you have to ask you shouldn't do it. So I had a shop do mine. I've also been told it is easy and they could show me how. I know it's about $350 an axle to have them installed so I'm leaning to doing my own next time since I have a person that can show me and verify my end result.
