I bring this question to you all because I value your opinions and have gotten great advice from you all before, if not directly. . . through post helping others. I have asked this question on a local to me forum and just wanted to get you guys ideas as well. Any and All input, opinions, and ideas are welcome!
OK, so I've been thinking of upping the tire size for a while now (Samurai). I bought a set of 34x10.50x15 LTBs for it and they are on it now. I got a great deal on a set of five of them and couldn't pass them up. This is my second set of them in LTBs. I know how they act and ride, not to mention that this is my 7th set of Super Swampers. Here is the thing though, the 34" LTBs are actually a 33.6. They are a tall 33. I have them on a 8" wheel so that pinches them a little but I have 8lbs in them and they aren't even squatting a bit. The last time I ran a trail I had them as low as possible, the needle wouldn't even register on the gauge. They worked though!:D
With 8lbs in the tires.

So here is what I would like to talk about/ discuss. . .
I'm trimming the fenders for now and not going 'all out' right away with the cutting. I clear the 34s just fine and even though I haven't driven the Sami yet with them on it I know that I'll have to cut some just because of the suspension that I am now running (plan on installing bump stops).
My plan, a crude photochop. The back will be more rounded but this is the idea anyway.

With that said, I plan on sometime going up to a 35" tire. I've talked to a few guys on Pirate and Zukikrawlers and got some opinions (some were just full of :turd:, but what do you expect. I'm not running tons or Rocs so my stuff's not worthy ). I'll am running the 6.5 case gears which is said to put me a little better geared than stock in 2hi (almost stock gear up to a 35" tire in 2hi). So gearing isn't a problem. I also plan to gear the axles as soon as I can afford to just to help out. Now with the gearing and body out of the way... Which tires am I interested in?
I've really been checking out four tires lately. The four I'm looking at, I've been researching, reading, researching reviews on and I can't decide on which ones out of the group to focus on. Now, I've only owned (on my 4xs) Interco Super Swamper brand tires. Everything from a 42" SS down to a 29"er. I ran one set of the BFG old style MTs in the 32" size for two weeks before going with a set of 33" TSLs. I love the Swamper and always will. But here is the thing, only one out of the four I'm looking at is a Swamper, the other three are Radials and other brands. (Blasphemy, I know. *;) ) Now, if I go with a radial, it will be the first radial I've bought for one of my 4xs ever. I know that doesn't sound like a big deal to you but to me, I want to get the best tire for the $ being put out. Especially if into a radial with their prices.
So here is the list I've been looking at and researching, in no particular order.
Set One
The 35x12.50x15 LTB. The 35" LTB.The 35 is a different tire from the 35" and up. It falls into the "Bigger LTB" group, bigger, more spaced lugs, siped centers and outers, sidewall tread comes in deeper. This is the set that really have my eye at the moment. I guess I'm just uset to seeing them.

Set two
The 35x12.50x15 Pro Comp Extreme Terrain MT. This set of tires really impressed me when I went out to Crozet (local park near me, check it out on YouTube :)) and go to see them in action in the rocks. I will admit, I really have NEVER liked anything Pro Comp has out but these tires have caught my sight and I'm interested. This being one of the radial tires.

Set three
The 35x12.50x15 Pitbull Rocker. Now this is the other tire that I was really impressed with when I watched a couple of rigs at Crozet running them. They seem to flex great and grip well, even when wet. I've wanted a set of these for the longest time and now that they have the 35" tire in a 12.50x15 size... (In a radial). Deep lugs, siped, aggressive isn't even the right word for these, more like hyper aggressive. Just the radial thing again. *

Set four
The 35x12.50x15 Mickey Thompson MTZ. The MTZ is a tire that I've been pretty interested in since MT released it. I've just never really seen many with them on a off road vehicle, just a bunch of pavement pounders with tire sheen you could shave in. I have been impressed by the Baja Claws and driven a vehicle with them on it and can vouch for the trail capabilities, but the MTZ is a different tire. To me, it's more of a regular MT tire with a redesigned tread pattern (Updated MT). The last time we went up to Shoe Creek (another local trail) there was a couple of guys running them and they appeared to be doing well. One guy had RCPFA (Crozet club decals) on the side of his Land Cruiser so I know they have been there. When I asked he how he liked them he said " Man, I'll tell you honestly. They are a little loud on the road but I love them. I would buy another set. They are great in rocks and all! " With him saying that, I really got more interested in them.

OK, so that's the four sets that I am looking at right now. One of those four I'd like to go with and more than likely will. As far as right now, in my mind the LTBs and the Rocker has the lead. The other two ( PC XMT and MT ) are NOT far behind. Just can't make up my mind. Now I have NEVER been worried with how a tire looks. So please don't tell me which one you thinks looks the best and that's why I should go with it. I could care less about the look. Honestly, what is your opinion on these tires? Help me out.
Just wanted to see what you guys thought! Please tell me your honest opinion (Shoot, tell me to go away if ya'd like ;) ) and lets discuss why or why not you would run what. If you do run a certain tire, how do you like them? If a friend does, how do they like that certain listed tire?
Thanks for reading and your time guys!
