Broke Transfer Case

So the upper mounting ear on my transfer case is broken. I was curious if anyone knew if I would be able to purchase this by itself or am I looking at a whole new TC?

If your talking about the tail piece, should be easy to find. Anybody that used a aa sye will have a stock on laying around.

jim got this one, this will be a good time to get a SYE, that will replace the part you have circled.

Well I can find the front half and the rear half of np242 tcase but not that cone. Oh and if this is on your 1998 you don't change the cone for a SYE so you'll need to find one. Surely someone sells this. I just spent 5 minutes looking, so obviously it's going to take at least 6 minutes! :sign0181:

I had to jump over to Tom Woods to verify. Yep, you're right. I had forgot about that piece, however it's part of the core that you have to return to them.

The tail cone should be available at any junk yard or you may find them used at tranny shops, also if not they can order one for you. I may have a few in stock here both for the 242 and the 231.

Yea, I might have a line on one already. I actually already have a HnT SYE so not looking to go that route anyways.
