Well it does have to wear off. I got some on my hand when helping apply it to a friend's pickup awhile back. Took about a week to get it gone.

Oh chit tell me you don't own one of those turds, I am the pissed off owner of a 04 exploder 2 wd its got all the bells & whistles eddie bauer edition and now it has a used trans. got lucky my trans guy pulled mine apart and then called me and said come by I want to show you something upon my arrival I was shocked and then really pissed the trans had literally imploded the entire internals for a rebuilt his best price was about $3100.00 but he had located a wrecked 05 exploder in an auction so we bought it I got the trans and the trans guy parted out the rest but the real kicker was this trans was a ford crate trans it came with no vin tag and a few other little hints the one it came from must have been warrantied in its early life by the dealer, the cost was $1800.00 for it we paid $3900.00 for the whole thing he parted it out and made a little beer money and I even helped drink it! so my moral is that piece of @#$%^&*(*&^%$#@ is now up for sale 116,256.21 miles 3rd row seating and all the little things someone would pay out the a$$ to replace is already done asking $7100.00 obo!

That's a bummer. I have an '01 Exploder 2wd Limited 5.0. Bought it used in '04 w/ 30k miles on it. It has over 150k on it now. I've changed the oil, replaced tires, one or two sets of brakes, and one radiator. That's about it.
