I have just connected my android phone to odb via a bluetooth dongle. I'm evaluating some software. One good thing is I can have odb speed next to gps speed. It is also portble if you have an issue on a trail.

That is interesting. How does all that work? Cost?

I bought a $25 odb2 bluetooth elm327 (think thats right) plug off ebay. Downloaded software from android market. Pluged the device into the car odb socket. Paired the software to the plug and away it go's.

Interesting, I will have to see if they have them for OBDI. I currently have a code reader for both I take with me wheeling. The phone would be more compact.

hi
that is pretty cool.
Can it show live data of the engine?
I mean, the information from the sensors themselves?
Currently, I'm using an old scanner that show only codes, no live data....
Saar.

Yip. The dongle lives in the Jeep and my phone is always with me. Good to see you have the sliders on the way.

Would you expect more with 4.0L, 32" tires, and 4.5" lift, oh and 4.56 gears?

I can't get the blue tooth sorted on the laptop. The com port is all wrong, so I ordered the usb one. Bluetooth for the phone.
