Ok yall here's the deal. I am wantin to put a snorkel on the Grizzly. But not the reg type. Im thinkin of maybe doin one that goes from box to the passenger side at windsheild wiper or....one in the hood over at drivers side close to windshield. Also thinkin of doin it with 2 inch hose. Tell me yalls ideas and what yall think of mine. Would like to get it done in the next couple of weeks. And if ya have done one show some pics also :D.

Dont do the wiper snorkle, water over the bonnet will go straight in. Use 3" hose for big air flow. My 2c woeth Bear.

2" is a little small, out from the back of the airbox into the windshield cowl is a good spot :D

Bear, 2" is too small for a 4 liter motor. 3" is the minimum for adequate air flow particularly for a long tube like a snorkel. The wiper area is OK, You will have distributor problems before you have to worry about sucking water in the hood area. Muddeprived on this forum made one. Check his.

like the rest have said 2" is a bit small...me i wouldn't do the bonnet height snorkel, but that's because i play in deeper water than you......looking forward to the write up mate.

3" hose would be better, but if you take into consideration that the stock throttle body is only about 2 1/3" diameter (60mm), the 2" hose isn't that far off.

True but you gotta get the air to the TB. And the TB is right there at the intake and has a nice smooth flow of air going through it.

Hope this helps out some or at least gives some new insite on your plan. As I said i really like the first one and as Stve said the cowl area is fine you dist. will fail long before you get water in the cowl

I like the first one too.. but there is just something I like about the PVC cap sticking out of the hood, has a very military look too it. But for a very stealth snorkel, the first one is clean.

So is it the external one up the side of the window or the windscreen wiper box one? Regular for us is the one that go's up the window to the top of the roof.
