Well my B&M transmission temp gauge came in today. Now I have to figure out which is the output and which is the input line that currently runs to/from the radiator.

Any clues? Or better yet answers! :D

How are you going to be able to tell? I mean if the line that runs to the top of the radiator is output, that's all I need to know.

Bottom line on trany is return, top on trany is hot. pg 21-176 in the service manual

I don't have a service manual. I have Google and xjtalk members. :drinking:

Tony, I found good reference here,

he said: In case you were wondering, the AW4 outlet fluid port is the one furthest forward on the tranny (closest to the engine).

I may look into a fan down the road, but that is only because I am mounting the cooler in my bumper behind the grill down low.

Once I get the gauge hooked up I'll be able to tell if I need a fan or not.

I didn't get a chance to put the gauge in due to all the fun with the 99 over the weekend.
