ok I been talking with old friends from back up in dallas and we have all agreed that we wann do a gilmer run again... for those of you interested and wanna see what BMRA has to offer search youtube for either LSJC election run 09 or 2009 OR search by BMRA or Barnwell Mountain or just plain Gilmer offroad
THere is something there for everyone pretty much from easy trails rated 1-2 all the way up to a few 5 rated trails that could easily be re-rated as a 6-7...
There is NO orginization to this trip and I THINK its just the normal fees for the weekend (no special events) and as always there WILL be GREAT memories to be made at campsites as well as on the trails...
Once you egt out there Im going to try and stake a claim at " old camp"... no it aint for older folks its "old" cause its down in a little area that is out of the way from the main thoroughfare and it ALWAYS a great party!
at BMRA they let you bring ANYTHING as far as food and beverage however they rule out alcohol on the trails!
Camp fires are permitted pending burn ban NOT in effect either way I think we will be aloud to.
For those who are traveling a ways and want to "RV" it they have hookups closer to the front of the park
and for those of US who just gotta have that two a day shower... they have a shower house at the front of the property and both restrooms have two-three showers and yes theres hot water.... but runs off a tank so be first or be cold!
Here are a few pics of my last trip out there it was AWESOME!

I hope to see you there
ALSO check in cause I THINK you have to be a member of TMTC which is fairly cheap ALSO you will need the stupid sticker ... not sure if they have any on site BUT just call around and see where you can get one... the sticker is to allow you to hit the trails and NOT be stopped by the fuzz... basically its a registration for offroad vehicles and that is $8 a year, I forget what its called but you gotta have it or its a hefty fine.
Hope to see all there but I understand if you guys cant come!
