I've been wanting to clean the IAC for awhile now. I have to crank two or three times to get the 4.0L running, then it idles rough for 5 seconds.
I noticed that it would start right up after a good SeaFoam'ing.
So since it's almost June I decided to do it today. :(
I won't know until tomorrow and I guess really in two or three days if this really made a difference, but it did start right up after the cleaning.
The main thing I wanted to share was how incredibilly simple it is to take off and on the three sensors/controls on the throttle body if you just take the damn thing off the intake first! :smiley-laughing021:
There are 3 cables that snap on the throttle body and three connectors to the sensors/controls and four bolts that hold the throttle body to the intake.
Then it is very simple to take off the IAH, TPS, and MAP.
All I took off was the IAH.
Since I had the throttle body off I cleaned it again, but this time more throughly since the first time I did it still attached to the intake.
