Check out the tail and back bone from detoursusa.com. I came close to going with those, keeping the stock look but having a tire carrier, winch and recovery points.

Well, I've changed directions considering the upcoming move to Alberta so...
1. dissasemble whole XJ
2. put it back together with...
a. full frame stiffening
b. heavy duty front and rear axles
c. custom Sliders (extra wide for steps)
1. safari snorkel at same time.
d. custom front and rear bumpers (see Lizardly bumpers thread)
e. at least an 8k winch
f. custom overhead center console for CB,interior and map lights
g. double main tube roll bar with 6 point restraint system mounting
h. fully plumb with Aeroquip hoses and AN fittings/adaptors
i. Milwood disc brakes all around
j. Griffin Radiator plumbed with Aeroquip/AN bungs
k. 4.5" lift using the best parts for each portion of the setup
l. 32" tires and steel rims (5)
m. new forest green metalic paint job (replacing the worn out paint in same color)
this all gets to get started once I have the important, not to be replaced mechanicals up to snuff including gauges.

I think that about does it for my to do list at this time.:D:thumbsup:
