Thank you very much. One of your members, Steph74, another french guy, sent me a message on my blog, a few days ago, that's how he told me about this forum. It looks incredible, and i think i'm going to spend a lot of time here, reading all kinds of threads.
My xj is a diesel (Renault engine, 2.1td), and i'm passing a lot of time working on it. This is my second xj.
Thanks for your welcome, and sorry, if my english is not good enough, but i will do my best without using any translator (!)

I always love reading the posts from the new folks. That's a pretty Jeep. We have a battle going on between the GREEN and RED Jeeps. Red is best of course, so it's double good to have you here! :D

Yes, steph74, i live at about 2 or 3 miles from Lyon, dept01.
The color is not exactly orange, i don't know if we can say "brique" or something. This is not its orginal color. It is blue. But the painting was in very bad state, so i decided to repaint it. It's only the product we put before the last painting, we call that "aprêt", i don't know in english. But, finaly, i think this color is not so bad...

brick color... works as well.... There is a battle on the forum about the best color for an XJ.... red versus green Don;t ask why, everybody knows that Yellow is the best

Not sure how to translate "appret" .... I don;t think it is the primer, but who knows... I like the color

Yes i did the painting myself. it's a spray paint. I've bought 12 cans(?) for this job. And i think it looks nice with the black parts, as the bumpers etc...
So there is a battle between the red and green color ? I saw yours on the page you sent me, and i like it.
