will i need a new D-shaft?

Fixing to put a dana 44 in the 97 and it had a 8.25 in it already. it doesn't have a sye yet and has about 4 inches of lift. will my stock driveshaft work with the dana 44? may be too short? post count is down so i figured i could muster up some posts

I think you will be good from what i've seen. I think the d44 is a little longer so it would help not hinder

You should be good to go up to 4.5 inches of lift, then you'll need SYE and drive shaft.

it will assist... pushes the yoke further back on the output shaft so your fine!
