So I need to replace on side upper and lower but I think I will do both sides.
I have changed these before but never had to buy them.
so my question is what brand is good and where can I get it?
I called my local checker and they have two brands master something upper $24.99 lower $34.99 or Moog upper $57.99 lower $67.99

I have also done some searching on the inter web :smiley-gen165: and I am still :stars:
I can get cheapo's like these.http://www.car-stuff.com/mmparts/jeep-cherokee/ball_joint.html but I just don't know if I trust something like this.
Or you can get better ones like these. http://www.1aauto.com/1A/BallJoint/Jeep/Cherokee/1ASBS00027/465913/2001

So what are you guys running and how are they holding up? now remember I DD this jeep and I put about 500+ miles on it a week. I deliver pizza.:smiley-laughing021:
so I will need something that will last. :driving:

Remember to send me a txt or give me a call when you do it... if schedule allow, I would love to learn something new ;) and maybe give you a hand when you need it.... I am good at holding the beer while you are working under the jeep ;)

So I found some information on spicer ball joints on another site, the guy said this is the only ball joint he uses and that they are as good or better them moog. anyone have any experiance with them?

That would be a tough choice. I know Spicer makes good u-joints, after a little research to confirm my suspicions, I'd probably go with Spicer.

That is what I was thinking too, and the price is right. :shocker:

I just did my front hubs with the pair sold from A1 Auto for $100 and i'm sure my ball joints are shot and need to be replaced. If these Spicer ones are greasable I will defininately go with them but I also need a new drag link because I just noticed mine bent a few degrees and thus eating up the outside of my front tires. How easy would these be to do with basic tools and one floor jack?

just got these in the mail today, they look pretty good and the upper is greasable. I will let you guys know how they are after they are installed.

I was going to suggest spicer as well... Where did you pick them up at? Did you call sixstates?

Moog makes a great product. We're a dealer for them. If you need a Moog part and do not see it on our site let me know. We can add it to the inventory.

I haven't done mine, But a front end guy I used to know always chose moog, although spicer has the same quality, so I'd have to go with price and availability, for me , probably moog.

Thats not a bad price... I picked mine up from six states when I replaced mine a few years ago... don't remember what I paid though. :bang:
