Are you looking for a way to mount the filter?

i have been useing the filter out in the open under the hood for a couple years but every time i am out wheeling i have to spend about a hour or more cleaning the filter so what i am trying to do is find a way to use the stock air box to keep some of the muddy water way from the filter or somewheres where i can put it so i will get less water in he intake

The only real way to do that is to put it back into a box and duct air to it from the outside. PM Muddeprived on this forum. He has an interesting way of doing that.

Check out this write up:

I just did this to my rig earlier this week. it gets the filter out of the hot engine bay, and frees up gobs of space on the driver side under the hood for an oba or dual battery setup in the future.

i got rid of the cone style K&N & went with the K&N filter that fits the stock air box. then i built my own snorkel. i work at a concrete recycling facility. lots of dust. but with the snorkel up on the roof low maint for the filter. plus the increase in fuel mileage.
