Im looking for some advice from the experts here. Im putting the 6.5 lift on my 95 and was wondering if i need to get a drop pitman arm or any other seteering mods. I dont want to do a OTK system because it is a DD. Any advice is appreciated...

My son's xj has 6" long arm lift I will look at and see what he has. I'm pretty sure you will need a drop pitman arm and a sye

Im at 6.5" and the only thing I HAD to do to mine was a dropped pitman arm. I also upgraded the tie rod to a v8 zj one, but the stock one still handled fine with the lift.

You probably will need one. The thing about a lift of this height is that at full droop, it will exceed the capacity of the tie rod ends to flex that far without damage. That is the real test. The real answer will come when you assemble the lift and shocks and go to hook up the tie rod.

All you should need is the drop pitman arm, but if you end up needing something else youll find out once you get your lift installed.

Yep... as of right now I am sitting at 7" of lift w/ stock arm and has been working fine... but am ordering a drop pitman here shortly so I won't wear out anything that doesn't need to be..

Running a six inch lift with a lowered pitman arm as well. No problem as a DD. My wife drives Dudley to work when it snows. I think she's just looking for a good reason to drive the XJ.
