Heres my problem. The bolt that connects to the frame, the one next to the steering wheel, wont come loose. Ive tried heat. ALOT of PB blaster, cheater bar, air ratchet, and the good old wrench and dead blow hammer. ITs stuck. And I want this thing off so I can use it on MY good XJ. But I have this feeling the same problem will happen when I start on mine.

So all advice would be great coz Im SUPER stumped. My father is going to try and help me with it today but Id like a battle plan just in case his idea doesnt work.

Thank you very much. Do you think its possible for my to now cut the stabilizer? Im trying to not pay for a new one. Seeing the one I have is in pretty good shape. ALOT better then the one thats on my XJ now.

I don't think you would have to cut the stabilizer to get it loose with one of the tools. It should just pop loose. I think he did that cause he was replacing the unit anyway. one other trick I thought of, if you use a BFBPH you can smack the sides and see if that will loosen it up. bph = ball pein hammer
