OK I know enough about using a bastard pack to lift the rear,,,,,
What about the front ?

The only 2 that I am aware of, are 1/grand Cherokee V8 with upcountry package front coils give 2' and 2/ford f150 gives 4"
From my readings, people use these coils with spacers and can accommodate and rear bastard pack lift for up to 6 inches.

Now the F150 coils are said to give a really stiff ride (whatever that means)

ANY OTHER OPTION ? I am talking of course of getting coils from a junk yard ;) no buying them

That is about it. I have heart of T Bird coils, but don't know much about that. The F150 coils are very stiff, which is where most of the lift comes from. Most consider them unwheelable because they just don't flex at all.

If you Ford coils get some from a 2wd 6cyliser the older the better. The will give you best ride of the Ford coils mat not give all the height you want from them but you will be happier.

Well I've heard of someone getting about 5.5" of lift using some springs out of a 1960 Impala......good luck

you mean good luck in finding a 1960 impala ? lol

anyway I was just wondering, I am not planning on anything, just gathering info in case....

and in the end, it might be as easy to me to get a spacer if I need 1 or 2 more inches...

Well used lift springs are pretty easy to find on the web, pretty cheap. Keep in mind 97-06 wrangler lift springs will work on XJ's but will give 1" less lift than what they did on the wrangler.

I am using 5 inch TJ coils with spacers they sit without the spacer a little more than 4 inches. Waiting to see what rear spring pack I end up with to get 4.5 to 5 inches of lift in the rear. Looking at the adjustable rear shackles as a fine tuning tool for height.

You can use S10/Blazer leaf Pks with main XJ Leaf in rear. I am doing it that way in rear once I figure out what placement of springs give me the 4.5 I am looking for I will post up.
