Hey!! Didn't expect to see my own name so quick!

Years ago I owned a YJ (loved it) and now have a XJ. It's being built for moderate off-road with an emphasis on using JY parts as upgrades and as much DIY as I can do.

The XJ was purchased basically stock with 160K miles with the only "upgrade" being a nice set of 30x9.5/15 tires. After purchasing I went through it top to bottom, front to back replacing all worn bushings, control arms, front wheel bearings, motor and transmission mounts, rebuilt/balanced the driveshafts, fluids, etc, etc, etc. That was just so I knew what I was starting with.

Right after rebuilding the suspension (no springs) I noticed the front tires rubbing the lower control arm so installed some 1" adapters to eliminate that. Obviously THEN I needed to do some trimming and or lifting as there just wasn't much space over those tires. Yeah, yeah, yeah ... once you start it never ends but I knew what I was getting in for.

What I have now is a 5" lift (RC front and RE rear), RC shocks and stabilizer, RC quick disco, 33" Big Dawgs on Dick Cepek DC-1 wheels (Craigslist), front and rear receiver hitches, etc. Here is before and after ...

Looking forward to participating AND building. Thanks!!
