I dont know about you guys and gals, but I put my kayak on the top of the xj and it hangs over a lil. I saw these and thought how useful they could be. Now for 12 dollars I could make my own. But it is still a good idea. Broken ratchet strap and few washers would do the trick I think.

I'm having a hard time picturing how you would use this. The site didn't have any more pictures. :(

One on each side or one in the front , close the hood. Then you have a tie down point.

Ahhhh ok, I couldn't tell how long they really were. I don't know $12 to have it ready made.... hmmm...

The strap is only several inches long with a loop at the end. you would have to tie rope or a strap over the load and connect to the straps on either side.
