Vent window install

I have a 1999 XJ and a local person is parting out a 1991 with the vent windows in the front door. Is it possible to do this swap? He wants $40 for each door.

Well I don't think you can swap the one piece windows out of the newer doors to the older doors, so I would assume you couldn't put the old windows in the newer doors either. But im not 100% on that

Ya, glass isnt interchangeable without a lot of reworking.

If you were closer, I would gladly change you doors, I would even paint them for you too!

Like rugidone says, that is a door swap. No other way to do it easy.

Thanks everyone. Guess I have a new spring project. I know after paint the new doors will look like they belong but will the older style door harness work with a '99? Also will I have to modify my interior door panels? Im decent with a plastic welder so this doesn't worry me.

Once I junk my partscar Saturn, Sell my Pathfinder and paint my Civic I may just do that.

you may have to swap out the wire harness, I am not sure they are interchangeable.
