Jeep comanche Fuse block variation

Ive heard .........or READ that there are 2 different variations in the Fusebox on Comances. One is the kind with all the wires going right to the Fuse block ....and the other has a plug going thru the firewall into the engine bay. Thinking about replacing my Fuseblock due to its a 22 year old piece O` crap now (corroded,few slots missing terminal ends).
Would like to hear what anyone knows on this subject. Are there 2 different Fuse boxes? thanx in advance.
