A guy in my apartment complex has these. I asked him where he got them and if they worked well. He said they were ok and that he got them off ebay. Anybody have them on their rig?

I haven't seen those before... but they seem like they might be decent enough... can't be any different than the ones you purchase from Wal-Mart I wouldnt' think... Heck that guy has kits where you can purchase four of them for $70 for a set of 4 100w, or $115 for a set of 4 130w... you can get you a complete setup all matching...

Yep... I was looking at those too... not so much the green lenses... just the covers... I am thinking about a set of these... got the store bookmarked for later purchase...

That is one of the things I liked about them. I just want to know a little more. I might just ask my neighbor if I can go wheelin with him to see them in action. The only problem is he drives a Wrongler. J/k!

Keep in mind that you could put a 100 watt resistor in there instead of a bulb and it would meet the 100 WATTS part of the advertisement. Now you wouldn't get any light out of it, at least not visible light. So keep in mind when you buy a light wattage doesn't take into account the beam pattern, the reflective surface on the back of the light or how clear the lens is.

I'm not saying it's bad I'm just saying they can be technically correct but the light will still suck compared with others that spend more time on the areas I just mentioned.

I know I'm a bummer...

Conventional wisdom sometimes says cheap housings with expensive bulbs is the hot ticket

Those look alright. Just skinny enough to fit on the bumper. I would prefer just black ones though.

Yeah those are on eBay, not sure about the quality. I am pretty much a xj snob and only put the best on my jeep, so I'm daylighting with the KC's only way to go. They are more spendy yes, but 30yr warranty and the best beam or flood money can buy.

KC's are nice but if I bust a $15 light wheeling, which I will do, it doesn't bother me as much.

True! It's good to have a back up set in the hills. I would probably break down if I broke my kc's, they have been all over with me. I pulled a overhead console with the compass and temp ext. Out of another xj at junk yard and mounted all my light switches on it, next will be the arb air locker switch. I am going to design mini roll cages around my kc's as soon as I mount them on the A pillars.

I've had real good luck with the Hella 700ff's that I'm running on my XJ. There bright as hell and they have a good lighting distance too. They were pretty pricey but well worth it.
