The Nasty idles at around 7000 rpms it seems a little low and sometimes it acts as if it wants to cut off. What is the normal range @ idle?

:wow: 7000 rpms, you must mean 700. Normal idle is 650 rpms.

That's about normal idle. If it sounds like it wants to cut out it maybe your fuel filter. My '88 used to die when the speed use to get down to 10 or 15 mph. Changed out the filter and the problem went away. Good thing is the filter on the '95 (like the '88) is on the frame rail and not in the tank. You should be able to get one for less than $20 and change it out. Other things to look it, if you haven't already, is dist. cap, rotor, plugs and plug wires. If these are worn or bad they can also cause a rough idle. Hope this helps.

I have plans to check all these but it has just been to cold. I dont have a garage and my apartment people get mad at me when I work on The Nasty in the parking lot.
