fuel pump sending unit problem...

I have a fuel pump sending unit problem. I replaced the fuel pump in The Nasty yesterday with a used one from the jy. Everything went ok, other that the fact it was 30 degrees outside and I froze my butt off. The only problem now is my fuel gauge reads empty and I just filled up this morning. I double checked the pump positioning and it is correct. The only thing i can think of is, I must have plugged it in wrong. But I thought the plug only went together one way. Anyone have an idea?

you may have interrupted the ground for the tank. Also, IIRS there are some spade connectors inside that might have come loose. You might have to pull it again to check those and the float. If you pull it, cycle it and make sure the gage moves.
